| ABSTRACT: Calcium (Ca) is often supplied to crop species to prevent the occurrence of Ca–related disorders. Mechanisms of Ca absorption and transport are not fully understood and the effectiveness of root and/or foliar Ca fertilization may be variable. To characterize the rate of Ca absorption and transport, trials were developed with chili pepper and sweet cherry plants, using 45CaCl2 as a tracer. The Ca treatments supplied were: (1) No 45Ca (control); (2) 45Ca soil application; (3) 45Ca supply to basal leaves, and (4) 45Ca application to apical leaves. | Abstract The aim of this study focused on the construction of the absorption and extraction curves under an aeroponic system for White chrysanthemum cv. Atlantis White, and therefore, propose the periods of maximum and minimum nutrient accumulation from aboveground, root and total biomass. Vegetative cycle of the plant, measured from the day after transplantation (dat) to aeroponic system, and the first day of court lasted 49 days. Evaluations were carried out each week on plants, in absolute competition. For the average aboveground biomass, three replicates were recorded. | ABSTRACT The objective of this research was to evaluate the agronomic performance of Italian zucchini as a function of phosphate fertilization. The experiments were carried at the Rafael Fernandes Experimental Farm, Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid Region, Mossoró, RN, Brazil, from August to November 2015 and from July to September 2016. The experimental design was randomized blocks in 2 x 5 factorial scheme, with four replicates. | ABSTRACT Micronutrient research for sugarcane in northeastern Brazil is scarce and most works on this issue date back to the 70’s and 80’s. The objectives of this study were to assess the available and reserve pools of Fe, Mn, Cu, and Zn in soils cultivated with sugarcane under three geological contexts in northeastern Brazil as well as to diagnose the micronutrient nutritional status of sugarcane grown on these areas in order to identify pedogeological conditions in which micronutrient deficiencies are likely. | O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar as características físicas, químicas e biológicas do solo, a composição mineral e a qualidade de frutos, em pomares de maçãs 'Royal Gala' conduzidos sob os sistemas de produção convencional (CON) e orgânico (ORG), em um Nitossolo Háplico.
